Two men have been arrested and are in custody following the rape of an 18 year old woman in Walsham-Le-Willows.

Police received a call at around 1.15am on Friday 16th August, with a report that the woman had been raped by two men in a field off The Street in Walsham-Le-Willows.

Police attended the area and two men were arrested near to the scene, both on suspicion of rape.

A 23 year old man and a 25 year old man, both from the Bury St Edmunds area are currently being held for questioning at the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre.

An area of a field off an alleyway leading from The Street, Walsham-Le-Willows has been cordoned off whilst police continue with their enquiries.

The victim is being supported by specialist trained officers.
