The prettiest SS24 beauty trends, from ribbon hair to soft-stain lips

June 2024 · 2 minute read

If you're an early adopter, the good news is the fashion capitals have dropped all the SS24 inspo for next spring and summer. Sure, we may have barely dipped our toe into autumn, but as per tradition, designers from across the four fashion cities – New York, London, Milan and Paris – spent September and the first week of October giving us a preview of what's in store when the weather next warms up. And, along with some beautifully breezy garments, they gave us all the beauty intel, too.

As for the headliners, Coquettecore seems to be going strong with silky pink ribbons woven or corseted through hair at Christian Siriano. Meanwhile, PatBo made the case for pastels with pretty pink eyeshadow swept across their models' lids. Or, for an alternative shade, Tiffany Brown Designs went big on baby blue, with a whole show dedicated to the colour which was washed across the models' eyes.

Vintage romance emerged at Richard Quinn, Erdem, Max Mara and Annie's Ibiza. Hair stylist Sam McKnight swept hair into regency-style chignons at Richard Quinn, while Terry Barber for MAC took care of portrait-worthy skin with delicately blushed lips and earthy-toned lids. Annie's Ibiza saw '20s-style finger waves created by Sam and high shine red lips created by the pros at Charlotte Tilbury. And romantic matte red lips made a statement at Max Mara, while Erdem called on the Bobbi Brown pros for a pretty ruby red lip.
