Police have released some new images which show vehicles and people in and around Stapleton Road at the time Rico Gordon was murdered.
Rico, who was 21, and from London was killed on Stapleton Road, Bristol on Sunday 3 July 2011 after the St Paul's Carnival. Officers continue to work closely with his family, the Metropolitan Police and Operation Trident to progress the enquiry. The CCTV images include a white Vauxhall Combo van which is believed to have been parked near to the scene at the time of the shooting and then drove away soon afterwards. The occupant(s) may have vital information for the investigation team so police are urging them to come forward. The van has a non standard sticker or logo on the bottom right of the rear doors. There are also a number of new images which show people whom officers are keen to identify. Two men have been charged with murder in connection with Rico's death.
Detective Superintendent Sue Scott said: "Rico Gordon lost his life needlessly and we are committed to bringing those responsible for his death to justice. We know the area was very busy at the time due to parties taking place following the carnival. We believe there are still a number of witnesses or people with valuable information we have not yet spoken to. Gun crime has devastating consequences as clearly demonstrated in this case and Avon and Somerset Police will continue to tackle and prevent this type of violent crime."
Anyone with any information on Rico's murder can contact the Operation Baron incident room on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
